Beginning of Metrohm

1943

Dr. Berthold Suhner and Mr. Willy Studer started with Metrohm. They built impedance measurement instruments (ohm meter) and radios.

First Online Analyzer

1967

Metrohm developed its first online analyzer, the Multitrator E440. The technology at this time required physically connecting and rearranging plugs to establish specific electrical circuits to program the process analyzer.

Foundation of Applikon BV

1974

Applikon Analytical was established with the aim of developing advanced analytical solutions for process monitoring in the fields of water and wastewater treatment, chemical manufacturing, and other industrial applications.

First Install

1978

The first process analyzer was developed in Schiedam, The Netherlands, Metrohm’s ASA 2010, and was installed at Dow Chemical.

Customizable Modules

5 / February / 1998

The 204Y, the first flexible process analyzer series with customizable wet part modules, was launched. These customizable wet parts now serve as the foundation for all Metrohm process analyzers.

Metrohm Applikon BV

2009

Applikon Analytical is acquired by Metrohm AG and becomes Metrohm Applikon BV strengthening Metrohm’s presence in process analytics.

Product Line Expansion

2019

Metrohm Process Analytics, the official process analytics brand name within Metrohm, launched the newest process analyzer platform, the 2060 Process Analyzers. Taking the customizable wet part on step further, The Metrohm 2060 Process Analyzers not only offers modularity within one cabinet but can be configured with different cabinets to create one single analyzer platform.
